one of the biggest shortcomings of our education system is the lack of education in economics.  Long gone are the days of the secure job with a good company, a pension and a second house.  We as parents are expected to teach our children about economics from the lessons we learned through life. But the lessons that we learned no longer apply to them and who knows how well we learned money.
